NEURA Robotics Closes Up to $1.4B Series C for Physical AI

NEURA Robotics, the Metzingen-based builder of the 4NE1 humanoid, closed a Series C of up to $1.4 billion — described by the company (via Trending Topics) as the largest capital injection to date for a full-stack robotics firm. Investors named in that report include Tether, Qualcomm Technologies, Amazon, NVIDIA, imec.xpand, Bosch, Schaeffler, the European Investment Bank, Lingotto Horizon, and InterAlpen Partners.

What the money is for

According to Trending Topics’ company-sourced write-up, proceeds go to:

  • Global deployment of cognitive and humanoid robots
  • Expanding the Neuraverse platform (shared skill/learning network)
  • Rolling out NEURA Gyms — real-world training environments
  • Building production and scaling capacity toward a stated goal of several million robots by 2030

NEURA also claimed an order backlog and deployment pipeline exceeding $1 billion. Treat backlog claims as company-reported unless independent order books surface.

CEO and founder David Reger put the thesis in plain language: AI that “will not simply take place on screens” but moves and works in the physical world. The company positions Neuraverse as an open ecosystem where robots exchange skills and learning, rather than isolated fleets.

That is Europe’s attempt at a full-stack humanoid company with serious industrial partners on the cap table — Bosch and Schaeffler are not tourist investors.

A Human’s Take

$1.4B is enough capital to force a binary: either Europe gets a real humanoid OEM with factories and field data, or this becomes a very expensive science project. I care about NEURA Gym data volume, unit cost curves, and whether that $1B+ pipeline turns into multi-year revenue. Investor logos are impressive. Shift logs will be decisive.
