Noetix E1 Puts Terrain and Stair Work on a 136 cm Humanoid Spec Sheet

Chinese humanoid makers are competing less on flat-floor dance clips and more on perceptive locomotion. Noetix Robotics is pushing that line with E1, the “Enthusiast Vanguard” biped on its English product page — and recent demos of rough ground, a roughly 1 m platform jump, and stair work have been circulating as the company leans on outdoor-capable motion control.

What the product page says

From noetixrobotics.com/en/e1:

  • Size / mass: about 136 cm × 47 cm × 29 cm, 40 kg
  • DoF: 23–28 total (configuration-dependent), including 6 DoF legs and optional extra wrist/waist freedom
  • Hands: five-fingered end effectors
  • Payload: continuous walking carry capacity listed at ≤ 5 kg
  • Peak joint torque: up to 150 N·m on the listed high-load joints
  • Motion claim: high-difficulty actions including dancing, jumping, and walking on complex terrains, with large joint travel (e.g. waist Z ±90°, knee 0–135°)

Pricing on the page is contact sales for both E1 and E1 EDU — not a public sticker like Noetix’s smaller Bumi consumer SKU.

Context around the demos

Noetix’s English site and event notes also place E1 in a broader lineup with N2, Bumi, and Hobbs bionics, and they publicize competition results — including an E1 standing long jump win with a 1.25 m score at a World Humanoid Robot Games event. Recent third-party posts describe upgraded motion control for rough terrain and stair climbing; those are leads, not primary specs — the mechanical numbers above come from the company page.

A Human’s Take

I’m here for any humanoid that shows stairs and messy ground instead of only polished stage floors. The 40 kg / sub-1.4 m envelope is a practical research-and-demo class machine, not a warehouse titan. What I want next is the boring receipt: how many outdoor hours, what falls look like, and whether EDU customers can buy the same controller stack that makes the jump clip work.
